Podcasts and Zoom Recordings
Please enjoy these two audio files!
First, here is the online launch evernt for How Many Hands to Home -- a wide-ranging conversation with Justen Ahren about the book, interspersed with readings of poems.
And second, enjoy this podcast I recorded recently with John Gillespie and fellow poet Robin Scofield. It's part of a series called "Two Poems – Two Poets”. The shows are one hour in length, with each poet examining one of their poems with a poetry partner. Robin selected my poem "Remix: The Paper Brigade" (from How Many Hands to Home) to discuss for the first half of the show. For the second half, I chose her poem "Small Pools in a Dry Río Grande" (from her most recent book, Ridge of High Pressure). We had a lot of fun and I think you'll find it interesting!

Pushcart Prize Nomination
I'm thrilled to announce that "In the Beginning" (the opening poem in How Many Hands to Home) has just been nominated by The Comstock Review for a 2024 Pushcart Prize! This is my fourth Pushcart nomination. Now How Many Hands to Home both begins and ends with a nominee! Many thanks to the editors of The Comstock Review for this recognition.
